We at Phoenix Charter Bus Company want to make group travel as stress-free as possible. That’s why we’ve compiled this list of our most frequently asked rental and transportation questions—so you can travel with confidence!

About Pricing and Payments

How much will my Phoenix bus rental cost?

It depends on a variety of factors. We personalize each and every reservation cost to the trip’s details—so there is no way to give an estimate without knowing your starting and stopping destinations, the time of year you’ll be traveling, the bus model you want, or the amenities you need on your Phoenix bus rental.

The best way to know how much your bus rental will cost is to call our 24-hour reservation team at 480-445-9823. A representative is always available to help you out, and we can provide a personalized, no-obligation bus rental quote free of charge!

What do I need to receive a bus rental quote?

To get an accurate estimate, we highly recommend having as much of your trip’s details in order as possible before you call. In particular, details like your headcount, schedule/itinerary, and must-have bus amenities are important to know before calculating an accurate quote.

What’s included in my bus rental quote?

Your minibus or charter bus rental quote will include the use of your requested motorcoach model, the services of a professional bus driver, the cost of fuel and tolls, insurance, and processing fees. Keep in mind when budgeting for your trip that your quote will not include your driver’s gratuity or parking fees.

When is my final balance due?

To secure your bus rental, you will need to pay a nonrefundable 10% deposit when you make your reservation. We ask that the remaining balance be paid 14 days before your trip’s expected departure.

About Buses and Amenities

What kind of bus can I rent in Phoenix?

Phoenix Charter Bus Company works with a nationwide network of coaches, which means we can connect you with nearly any make and model of motorcoach that’s available on the market!

In particular, we specialize in our namesake: charter bus rentals! These full-size coach buses can comfortably seat 56 passengers, offer roomy cabins and plenty of storage space for luggage, and often include an onboard restroom with a sink and toilet. Needless to say, these motorcoach rentals are ideal for long-distance travel—so consider a charter bus your go-to if you’re crossing state lines to Disneyland, Las Vegas, and beyond!

We also can provide a variety of smaller bus options, including an 18-, 20-, or 25-passenger minibus. These models are perfect for shuttle services for conventions and major events, and their compact frames make for easy and nimble travels within city limits.

What amenities come on a bus rental?

It depends—what do you want aboard your minibus or charter bus? The following amenities are standard on most motorcoaches in our network:

●      A DVD player and TV monitors

●      Overhead parcel racks

●      Reclining seats

●      Air-conditioning

And upon request, your bus rental can include these comforts as well:

●      Restroom

●      Undercarriage storage

●      Leather seats

●      PA system and/microphone

●      WiFi

●      Power outlets

Not all amenities are available on all sizes of motorcoach. To learn more about the amenities that come on each model of bus rental we offer, check out our buses page!

Are ADA-accessible buses available?

Yes! As long as you give us 48 hours advance notice, we will be able to provide a bus that offers a lift, wider aisleways, handrails throughout the cabin, and places to secure mobility devices like wheelchairs and canes—all at no additional cost.

Can I smoke or drink alcohol on my bus?

Smoking of any kind is not allowed on a charter bus, minibus, or sprinter van in the state of Arizona.

Alcohol, however, is allowed—as long as your passengers are over 21 years of age, of course. Give us a heads up if you plan to bring the party on the road, and we’ll ensure your bus driver and bus provider are alright with libations aboard your private shuttle service. (Please keep your bus clean and trash-free, though, to avoid a $250 cleaning fee once your trip wraps up!)

About Reservations

Where can I go in my bus rental?

Practically anywhere there’s a road! We are based in the Phoenix area—so booking Gilbert bus rentals, Tucson bus rentals, Yuma bus rentals, and more are no problem. But we can also provide transportation to places outside city limits, such as the Grand Canyon or even out-of-state cities like Los Angeles. Just say the word, and we’ll ensure every passenger has an efficient ride there!

When should I book my bus rental?

Generally, we suggest calling to reserve your Phoenix bus rental anywhere between 3 to 6 months before your expected departure. But if you’re planning a trip to a big event, convention, or concert (or during the summer and holiday peak travel seasons) consider booking your ride 6 to 9 months ahead of your trip to ensure availability.

What if I need to make changes to my reservation?

No problem! We just ask that you get in touch as soon as possible to change up your bus rental details. Some changes like headcount affect the number of buses we need to source for your trip—so the sooner we know, the easier it will be to accommodate your requests.

About Your Driver

Can I drive my bus rental?

No. Even if you have a CDL, we cannot allow you behind the wheel of your minibus or charter bus. Your bus rental will include the services of a professional driver—so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride!

Should I tip my bus driver?

Tipping your charter bus driver is not required, but it is highly encouraged and always welcome. Upon request, our team can include the cost of gratuity in your bus rental quote—though we recommend bringing 5 to 10% of your trip’s cost in cash to hand to your driver at the end of your trip.

Do I need to provide lodging and meals for my bus driver?

While your driver will handle all their own meals, if you’re planning a trip that spans multiple days you will be required to take care of their lodging. Bus drivers are required to take a break after 10 consecutive hours of driving and 15 consecutive hours on the clock, so keep that in mind while mapping out your multi-day itinerary.
